Sue Hessel qualified in 1980 and worked with individuals and families in crisis initially as a social worker, and as a counsellor since 1990. Sue has a wealth of experience counselling individuals, couples and families. Alongside her current private practice she has worked at Highgate Counselling Centre for many years, both as a counsellor for individuals and as part of its couples and families team. She is Course Director of its certificate in counselling skills course.
For the past seven years Sue has jointly led a weekly group for carers who have a family member with special needs, at a local church.
In her private practice Sue works from a pleasant consulting room in Crouch End. Her approach is warm and non-judgemental. She works sensitively and gently at the pace set by her clients.
